Ako Iti Cultural festival

Yesterday Room 1 performed in our production. We danced to the song Dancing Queen. We had Union Jack dancers, Queen's guards, the royal family and even some corgis. Room 1 were super excited and had amazing behaviour. Miss Smith is so proud of you all! Amazing work Room 1!

Australia

Last week we looked at Australia. We even tried making some aboriginal art.

U.S.A

On Friday we were lucky to have Brenna's mum visit and share information about America with us. We looked at a map of the 50 states and saw pictures of all the different animals that live there. At the end we got to try root beer floats. It was great to try something very American.

Britain

Today Lochy's grandad came in to talk to us about what it was like growing up in Britain. We found out about what life was like for him and he shared some very interesting stories with us. We talked about how different life was then and how London has changed now.

Hockey

Over the last 2 weeks we have been learning hockey skills with Connor. We have had 4 sessions and our last session is tomorrow.

We have been enjoying playing a game that teaches us to tackle the ball.

Pyjama Day

On Friday we wore our pyjamas to school. We had fun and some of us brought our stuffed toys too. We designed our own pyjamas too.

ASB Getwise

Today we had a super hero come to our class to tell us all about money.  We know that we should use our money to speed to our needs and wait for our wants.
