ASB Getwise

Today we had a super hero come to our class to tell us all about money.  We know that we should use our money to speed to our needs and wait for our wants.
Check out the funky bracelets we will come home with too.

Narrative Writing

We are learning to write narratives. We are working on describing a character and setting and writing about a problem and solution. Here are 2 amazing narratives we wrote today. Come and see the others in our books.

Once upon a time there was a sparkly, silver, scared seahorse. The seahorse was only a baby. The baby seahorse and mummy lived in a sparkly, silver ocean. One day they baby seahorse got very, very scared. She got so scared that she ran away from her mummy. The seahorse got lost in a cave but a fish showed the way out and they lived happily ever after.
By Emma

Once upon a time there was a scary, mean dragon. Its name was Terror. The dragon lived in Dragon Hotel. Suddenly the dragon got trapped in a dragon trap. It cried “help, help, help.” Luckily the king eagle was circling in the sky. The eagle swooped down and broke the net. The dragon thanked the eagle. They became best friends and they lived happily ever after.

British High Tea

Today's high tea was a great success. Thank you so very much to everyone who came and especially those who helped with the amazing baking and preparation. We had such a fun time and felt very fancy!
We made cucumber sandwiches in the morning and got the classroom ready.
We had our best manners and looked very cute in bow ties and tiaras. When we had finished eating we made paper tea cups.
We had 10 minutes on the playground after to help burn off our sugar highs!
Here are some pictures from our day...
Jack found a book that taught us the rules around drinking tea.
Shaine and his mum made this amazing Union Jack cake.
Mrs Ely popped in for a visit too!
