Jump Rope for Heart

Today we did Jump Rope for Heart. We just made it with all that rain. We rotated around lots of different skipping activities.

Ako Iti Assembly

Today we shared our sculptures with Ako Iti in assembly. 

I hope you find a special place at home for them!

We also picked out of a hat the country that we will be learning about next term. 

We got Britain!

We will be looking for people to help us find out lots of interesting facts about Britain soon.

And we were sitting so nicely that Room 1 won Funky Monkey!

Paper Sculptures

Today we made paper sculptures in art. We used our initials and found interesting ways to attach them to our background. We are very creative! 

HIB's Show

Today a group from HIB's came to perform a show for us. They wrote it especially for us. It was all about structures. They even built a pyramid. There were some very funny bits. Ask us what it was about!

We have been enjoying using different materials to build structures. Here are some that we have made recently.

Finished Sculptures

Room 1 have been working really hard on our 3D sculptures. We have made them from papier mâché, painted and decorated them. We needed to be very patient and persevere! Here are most of our finished products. We are very proud of them! Come and have a look at them in Room 1.

Mine is a chicken still in its egg. It's wings are out and it's egg is cracking.

Mine is a robot with 1 short arm because someone chopped it off.

Mine is a unicorn and it has red on it because it rolled down the hill and hit itself on a rock.

Mine is a pet giraffe. Everybody is allowed to pat it when they want to. It is very nice.

Mine is a super dog and it saves people.

Mine is a sheep and it likes people taking its wool off it.

My one is a purple and pink cat.

Mine is a dog that has blue and green eyes.

Mine is a panda. It likes cuddling people.

Mine is a blue and green caterpillar. It has a smiling face.

Mine is a penguin and he likes going for picnics.

Mine is a dog. It is named Tigger because it bounces a lot.

Mine is a penguin. It has a feather on its head because he stuck his head to a bird.

Mine is a unicorn that is pink and purple. It is magic and it likes making rainbows. It is named Glittercorn.

Mine is Rover. He has a bow tie and turquoise spots.

Mine is an elephant because it has tusks. It has sparkles because it is a magic elephant.

Mine is a bunny and it likes to hop.

Mine is a turtle and the glitter is actually where it has been in salt water. It has a little funny bow tie.
